Are you looking to expand your business reach and attract a more varied audience?
Look no further than TikTok. It's not just for dancing and lip-syncing anymore; TikTok is becoming an increasingly great place for you to showcase your products or services, and inform/update your audience as a small business owner.
In this blog, I will guide you through the 5 steps of creating a successful business TikTok video, that will grab viewers' attention and bring exposure to your brand.
Step 1: Plan Your Content
Before you start filming, it's important to have a clear idea of what you want your video to be about. What message do you want to convey? Is there a specific product or service you want to promote? Think about your target audience and what will resonate with them.
Also, keep in mind that most TikTok videos are short (15-60 seconds), so you need to make a strong impact in a short amount of time. This means planning out your shots and transitions carefully.
Transitions - changes between clips that keep the audience engaged. You can get really creative with these.
Step 2: Utilise Current TikTok Trends
TikTok is all about trends, and hopping on the latest ones can help your video gain traction. Stay up to date with popular hashtags, viral sounds, and tending topics. Incorporate them into your video in a creative way that aligns with your brand.
Step 3: Add Music and Effects
Music is a huge part of TikTok videos, so make sure to choose a catchy tune, preferably one that is trending, but which also fits the mood of your content and brand. You can also use filters, stickers, and other effects to make your video more engaging.
Be careful to avoid cluttering your videos, this can make focusing and understanding the purpose of your video difficult.
Step 4: Film and Edit
Now it's time to bring your plan to life. Use a tripod or stabilizer for steady shots and experiment with different angles and lighting. Make sure to include a call-to-action at the end of your video, such as asking viewers to follow your page or visit your website.
Don't do this too often, though... it can cheapen your brand and become annoying.
After filming, use TikTok's built-in editing tools to add text, captions, and other final touches to your video.
The tools are pretty simple as they're made for kids, but if you're new to editing, this may take time... you will become quicker, I promise.
Step 5: Post and Promote
Once your video is ready, it's time to post it on your business account. Make sure to include relevant hashtags and engage with other users by liking and commenting on their videos.
You can also promote your video by collaborating with other businesses or influencers, and using TikTok's advertising features; click the button below to read a blog explaining these.
Congratulations, you've now created a successful business TikTok video!
Keep experimenting with different ideas and staying on top of trends to continue growing your audience. Who knows, maybe one day your video will go viral and bring even more exposure to your business. Happy TikToking!
